Carpe Diem

It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinitely being just an ordinary, decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad.
---C. S. Lewis

We all imagine how life could be different, but until we start acting on our dreams, they just remain irrelevant. My dear friends, I ran across this quote today, and hope it will inspire you to reach for something hard. Take a small step every day towards your goal. You can do it!

Hi, Amy! I ran across your blog through a link in Krista Phillips' blog. I always like making contact with other writers. My blog is theheartsjourneyhome.blogspot.com, if you want to check it out. I don't update it as much as you or Krista.

I'm glad you shared that quote from C.S. Lewis. How appropriate it is for those of us who are still reaching for our goals! We may not be able to fly right off the bat, but regardless, we have to break out of our shell first! Thanks for a little inspiration this morning!

Blessings,
Jen Stephens

LOL! I think that is the first time I have ever seen my blog mentioned by someone else on another person's blog comments.

Mark this day in history!!

Amy, loved the quote!! Reminds me of the verse in the Bible where Paul says we must move from milk to Solid food. In order to grow and improve, our food intake must as well!! Gotta get some meat on our bones!

Ok, I think I'm killin the analogy a bit, but I think it kinda works still:-)
